Public Notice For Reappointment Of Incumbent Bankruptcy Judge

The current 14-year term of office of Janice Miller Karlin, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Kansas at Topeka, Kansas, is due to expire on October 16, 2016. The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit is presently considering whether to reappoint Judge Karlin to a new 14-year term of office.
 
Upon reappointment, Judge Karlin would continue to exercise the jurisdiction of a bankruptcy judge, as specified in Titles 11 and 28 of the United States Code.
 
Members of the bar and the public are invited to submit comments for consideration by the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. All comments will be kept confidential and should be directed to:
